Multi-factor authentication (MFA, also known as two-factor authentication or 2FA) is a security process that requires two or more different forms of evidence (factors) to log in to an account or system.
MFA requires you to provide more than just a password - in Yamdu, a 6-digit code from an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy is required to log in when MFA is activated.
This additional security layer helps protect company data by making it much more difficult for anyone other than you to access your information.
To set up MFA in Yamdu:
Activate at organization level
Click Settings in the organization menu
Under Require all users to use two-factor authentication (2FA) click the checkbox and then save
Activate at user level
Under user settings, click Set up two-factor authentication (2FA)
Scan the QR code or enter the key using your preferred authenticator app
Enter the authentication code provided to you in the authentication app and click Verify code
Copy or download the recovery codes and click the box next to I have saved these recovery codes and then done
At any point, you can set up MFA again, regenerate codes or disable MFA.
